Mountain Dog Musicworks is a state-of-the-art digital studio located an hour north of Los Angeles (and 10 minutes north of Ventura beaches) in the quiet, rustic, mountain town of Oak View, CA.

Tim Frantz, Mountain Dog Musicworks owner, has worked full-time in the music industry for over 25 years as a professional multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer. He has worked with artists B.J. Thomas, Steve Green, Dann Huff, Bill Gaither and members of the Commodores, America, Supertramp and Duran Duran.

Tim's philosophy of a recording studio is artist-centered:  "Mountain Dog is a place of accessibility for the nationally known recording artist, as well as the local music enthusiast recording for the first time. The facility has the gear to handle the demands of industry pros, but the studio environment doesn't intimidate or exclude the amateur. Creativity which comes from the heart requires a relaxed atmosphere. Mountain Dog is a comfortable place to make music."
